This is an awesome case. I grew tired of the monster towers and decided i wanted something smaller and more manageable without sacrificing performance. The case is laid out nicely, with plenty of room for wire management. There are 2 SSD mounts hidden on the back of the motherboard tray, and this case with fit either mini atx or mini itx boards. Space wise, you can fit 2 5.25 drives and 6 3.5 drives and 2 more ssd's on the back mentioned above and 7 possible fan slots. Depending on how you configure it, you can actually fit a couple of 240 mm radiators in here or one giant 360mm for a nice water cooled solution, but you will lose hard drive space and/or 5.25 drive space. My personal build was the Asus Maximus VI Gene, i5 unlocked, 32GB crucial ballistix, Antec 850W Power Supply, 2x Radeon HD6950, 2x240GB Corsair Neutron and 2x3TB Seagate for storage. CPU is cooled by the new awesome NZXT KRAKEN X60, which is actually a 280mm radiator cooled by 4x140mm fans. It fit with 2 fans above and 2 fans below in a push pull configuration, but i lost access to both 5.25 bays doing so, which for my situation is not a big deal. I redid the thermal paste with some Matrix III and all 4 cores on the silent setting, and it really is silent, idle at between 27 and 30, and it's a Haswell! Overall very happy with my purchase and it's nice to have a much smaller footprint.

Simple, but beautiful case. I chose it for the room that it has for disk drives because I'm partially using it for NAS.

Pros:
Room for 6 HDDs. Fan locations will pass air over them and there's room to install them backwards and leave your cables even cleaner.
3 Quiet fans included and work with included fan speed control on front of case.
Easy remove cleaning grilles will definitely make cleaning a breeze.
Plenty of room for routing ALL of your cables behind the Motherboard Wall.
2 places behind Motherboard Wall to mount SSDs!!! (Note: Might be weird getting L-Shaped SATA data/power plugged in back there though...)
The holes for running cable have excellent rubber grommets. I have plenty of cabling stuffed in and none have popped out or torn.

Cons:
Can't add more fans to the built-in fan controller (without warranty voiding modifications).
Power and HDD activity lights are VERY bright. I'm considering unplugging them as the case sits in my guest room.
Power supply sucks in air from the bottom of the case and I'm aiming to put my case on carpet.

The good:

* Solidly built and quite heavy, which I like
* Roomy and configurable interior for its size
* Gorgeous side panel window, paint looks good too
* Cooling is OK, although I would think twice about using monster open cooler GPU's. The provided fans are quiet on the two slowest settings, with good air filtration. The included fan controller is great to have, although I didn't get much cooling improvement on the high setting which is quite noisy. But I am quite satisfied with the cooling performance for the low noise levels on the lower settings.
* Excellent water cooling options.
* I like the top panel filter arrangement. This is a key reason I bought this over the Corsair 350D: the unfiltered, flimsy hole in the roof of the 350D is just horrible IMO.
* Drive dampening is good. Running 3 3.5" drives I could detect the vibrations but it was only what I would have expected from one drive.

The not so good:

* Seeing it in person, the fake brushed aluminum effect IMO looks very cheap and tacky. It also holds fingerprints very well and marks easily. I prefer the finish on the top plastic (which still seems a bit cheap) except there are inconsistencies in plastic - gives an effect sort of like knots in wood. You can see them in some shots on professional online review sites. The beautiful, consistent matte finish shown in the Amazon product shots is not accurate - shame on you Fractal. My front panel also had some plastic flash hanging off and I was not able to trim it up without it being noticeable, but compared to other brands, the quality control on my case was very good.
* The packaging is much too thin and like many others, I had shipping issues. My first was damaged and unusable. My second had minor damage to the drive trays.

only complaints:

CPU cut out needs to be larger

fan controller should support the amount of fans the case supports and should come with 7v, 9v, 12v speeds instead or include all four 5v, 7v, 9v, 12v options

we get it fractal, your fans can start at 5v but most fans start at 5.5v. and the jump from 7v to 12v is a total of 5v, I want to cool my case effectively without having to jump to the highest voltage

wish it had only one 5.25" bay

I heard about this box from friends, then read some positive reviews. It is 'thoughtfully' built, USB connections and switches on the top front, built in fans, extra fan connections and washable dust filters top and bottom are some really nice features. The right side cover comes off and makes for tidy and neat wiring - the left hand side is windowed. I went with air, but it's ready for water with space for fans and a radiator on the inside top.
