About the Author

As a child, Robert Cassady dreamed of fabled lands and forgotten peoples brought to life within yellowed pages of National Geographic magazines. At Middlebury College he earned a biology degree while also tempting fate on daunting mountain slopes. Now an impassioned adventurer, he has explored magnificent cities, ancient ruins, and jagged mountains on five continents, preferring eclectic objectives such as hundred mile endurance runs and the ascent of tropical glaciers. He currently lives with his family in Louisville, Colorado, where, in addition to writing, he teaches chemistry at a nearby high school.

Mr. Robert Cassady has created quite a cast of characters in his debut novel. Mixing adventure, danger, mythical lands, ancient texts, eye-opening revelations and a hint of romance, this novel will satisfy everyone from veteran science-fiction fans to those new to the genre. Well done and we are eagerly awaiting the next volume!

What a fantastic read...I couldn't put it down! When is the next one coming out?! The plot was refreshing and the characters well-developed. I highly recommend this book to anyone!

I've never been much into Science Fiction or Fantasy, but this book grabbed me form the very beginning and kept me reading. Can't wait for a sequel ... trilogy would be even better ... I loved the writing!
