Book Description

February 19, 2002
"Suddenly, the plane shuddered. Billy was startled by the sudden lurch. 'What the heck was that?' he snapped as the plane rocked again.

Penny became frightened and moaned, 'This is the very reason I hate flying. I shouldn't have come on this flight in the first place.'

Billy stared curiously out the window at the sky. It changed from gray to a gray pastel shade. Below them, the ocean appeared distorted and seemed to be frothing."

So begins "Fractured Time," a heart-stopping mix of adventure, fantasy and romance. A new benchmark in science fiction, "Fractured Time" revolves around the adventures of Billy Brock and his fellow airline passengers, who survive a treacherous landing only to be plunged into a catastrophic new world.

Upon leaving the crash site, Billy and the other survivors discover that a recent series of weather anomalies and cataclysmic earthquakes were only symptoms of a larger phenomenon: the fracturing of time. Soon, they find themselves immersed in a remarkable environment where past, present and future collide with disastrous results.

Join Billy and his fellow passengers as they band together in their attempt to negotiate a way to safety. Along the way, bonds will be forged and tested and the expected becomes routine as the group battles carnivorous dinosaurs and murderous Neanderthals from the past, and dark warriors from the future, only to find that the present holds its share of dangers as well.

4.0 out of 5 stars A wild ride that never ends!, January 19, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
You can't go into this story expecting everything to make sense. The situations that arise by happenstance are incredible; the characters' reactions to events pretty ridiculous. In this case however, it only serves to make the story more entertaining and hilarious. If you want a fast-paced book that grabs you and never lets go, all the while creating a unique setting and breaking the accepted norm of the genre, you won't be disappointed.

Didn't like how moody the protagonist was, but he overall he was fairly agreeable. I also preferred the direction shown in The Eye of Icarus, from the followup series, though this one was decent, especially considering the price.

I thoroughly enjoyed Fractured Time. The characters were very interesting and the blend of humor, horror and adventure made the story quite a ride. It's good to see that science fiction is becoming fun again. I think the portrayal of female characters was very real in comparison to women in today's world. The friction between the men and women was both comical and challenging.
