FRAGILE shambles onto the silver screen,
By Riley0091 (Concord, NH) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fragile (Paperback)
Rogue Pictures to film Stephano Raffaele's graphic novel with Eduardo Rodriguez (CURANDERO) directing and comic book writer, Jeff Dixon (RUN LIKE HELL) adapting.
With Raffaele's unique "turn-around" tale of a post- apocalypse zombie infestation told from the point of view of the victims infected, I always thought FRAGILE was what LAND OF THE DEAD should have been. The plot: a diverse group of undead protagonists, aided by a human teenager, trys to find a cure for the zombie outbreak is original but does suffer alittle by predictable comic book characterizations of some of the supporting characters. But if you have enjoyed gore-soaked tales of the undead menace like Zombie Factory, then this little blood-red gem is for you.

Not your typical zombie story.,
By Marcus Hall "Mark" (Salt Lake City, UT) - See all my reviews

I just recently came across this book because I heard from a friend that they're going to be turning this into a movie. Yeah sure, I think it has a few problems, but overall I thought the whole idea was awesome. It spins the whole zombie genre around and it's way cool to see a story from the point of view of the zombie.
Making humans the villains, and zombies the good guys was a stroke of genius. Sometimes the lofty goals it tries to hit doesn't quite make it, but it's still a lot of fun. Worth a read regardless. |
