I used this book when teaching a college seminar on the art of Southeast Asia. It was a terrific source and the very interesting chapters fostered great class discussions about art and nationalism, marginalization, collecting and cultural property.
I would strongly recommend it to anyone interested in the art of Indonesia, or anyone teaching in this area. |
