Having been a longtime fan of the Neurodisc Record Label because of artists like Ryan Farish, Amethystium, and Blue Stone, I decided to check out this album by an artist named Kopas called "Fragment of a Confession". I loved every snippet I heard on the album and bought it without hesitation. FOAC is without a doubt my favorite Neurodisc release, bar none, beating even Blue Stone's "Worlds Apart". The album cover art demonstrates the mood of the album, gray yet also electrifying and edgy. "Amrita" sets the tone of the album with an austere melody and heavy trance production throughout. "Oceans and Clouds" is almost breakdancing material meshed with Mars Lasar-like atmospheres. "Hold On" is a haunting song with edgy beat, and intense stormy ambience. "This World" has a slower pace with unusual keyboard arrangements. "Rains Retreat" is a jazzier song with a grainy production. The title track is a 1 minute interlude similar to what would be found on Blue Stone's "Worlds Apart". "Budapest Blues" is a melancholy track with a jazzy beat and gray rainy-afternoon mood. "Spirit Dance" is a spectacular and mesmerizing song. "Samadhi" is an odd song with an edgy energetic beat and haunting vocal chants. "East Side Story" is similar to "Budapest Blues" but having a slightly more upbeat feel. "The Unseen Dream" brings this album to a marvelous and more optimistic close. FOAC is among the best albums that I've heard in this decade so far. It is arguably 2007's greatest albums and one to have.
