Not to be mistaken with the German Black/Death metal band of the same name. Dawn of Dreams (Austria) releases are; Amber, Fragments, and Eidolon!
D.o.D. have forged these 3 albums straight from the heart and in the process created 3 of the best Goth/Metal masterpeices I've ever heard!
'Fragments' being one of my favourites, this album has a nice mix of their brand of goth/metal with some excellent instrumental keyboard arangements carefully inter-woven throughout creating an almost dreamlike soundscape adding to the atmosphere and emotion. Vocals are also varied, from the low flowing goth-like vocals to some nice growled vocals that may not be to everyones taste but it adds another layer to their well-wrote music. Guitar work is also of excellent quality.
Dawn of Dreams have now regretably split up forming 'Godmachine' (Austrian stoner-rock band) and 'Tristwood (Industrial/Cybercore Black Metal) Both worth checking out but snap the D.o.D. albums up while you can!
