What a great album! I must say that this recording defies categorization. Is it capoeira music? Is it drumming? Is it classical? Is it the soundtrack to a bad LSD trip?! I don't know and I don't want to know. All I can tell you is that this is consistently interesting music from an obvious percussion master who delves into regions of the musical psyche that would put off most casual listeners. However, if you are into expanding your musical horizons, and your mind, I don't think this album will disappoint.
