Some great Bley tunes in a wonderful setting, March 14, 2000

This recording includes some songs which Paul Bley has played in the past, but here they are given a new and complimentary setting.There are also some new compostions from the other musicians. Bill Frissell in particular provides a wonderful atmosphere for many of the tracks. Some of the tunes are sparse, as the title suggests. But everything is played with first rate musicianship. The recording quality is wonderful as well.
