Her illustrations and directions are very good. Very good for a beginner as well as the experienced basksetmaker. A friend of mine has the book and I just saw it today and am very interested in purchasing it when it becomes available again.

Wakeup and smell the baskets,

This work concentrates on pine needle and raffia baskets. We are taken from beginning to the practical. The pamphlet is spiral bound. There are monochrome diagrams and color photos of finished baskets. One you get the fundamentals down the variations are not so difficult. So far I am not about to show my efforts off outside of the house. They sit up on a ledge that cats cannot (should not be able) reach.
The fun sis gathering the materials. I am tempted to grow my own. |
