This review is from: Frame It All Curved Front High Back Indoor/Outdoor Planter, 4 Feet X 2 Feet X 18 Inches (Lawn & Patio)
First I'll review the Frame It All system. It really is simple and easy. Best to start with a level surface. My surface was mostly level, but I did have to build up 2 of the corners an inch or so to accommodate a tree root (the reason I went with a raised bed). The plastic boards look nice when installed and feel sturdy. The stakes are easy to put together. I didn't bother to screw the corners to the boards and it didn't seem necessary. If I were using regular wood, I probably would, but for the plastic timbers I don't think it was necessary.

About this set. First, the dimensions are incorrect. According to Frame It All's website, it should be 2x4x3 (the tallest part of the back). However, when the kit arrived, all the pieces were 4 feet long. The instructions say to cut the boards to size. Why? That makes absolutely no sense. If I'm being sold a kit that's a certain dimension for a system whose biggest selling point is ease and convenience, then no cutting should be required. However, the kit does ship with eight 4-foot long pieces (more on that). So I decided to make a simple 4x4x1 bed, which is what I really wanted to begin with. The catch is one piece would be curved, which I put in front on top. The problem is the curved piece is NOT 4 feet long. It is a 4-foot long board that was curved, making it a couple inches shorter. It does work though if one screws it in. However, after doing this I realized that there is a gap between the curved section and the bottom section. I'll be purchasing at a local garden center a regular 4 foot board and replacing the curved board.

After all was said and done, I ended up with a 4x4 raised garden bed, 1 foot high. I will need to purchase one additional 4 foot regular board. I have an extra pair of stakes and anchors, which I will use the next time I want to create a raised bed.

I gave 3 stars because the set isn't as advertised. However the Frame It All system is definitely 5 stars. Simple once all the pieces make sense and fairly quick. The neighborhood kid put it together in about 45 minutes from start to finish, having never seen it before. Go to the Frame It All website and check out the videos.

I didn't mind putting this together but this set only comes with 5 side pieces which leaves the back totally open not like the picture shows. Could be better with more curved pieces for front, one just doesn't hold in dirt.
