Great Product - A Bit Expensive Though,

I used this product to set up my garden last year - other than the cost of it, I am very happy with the product and design. It is very easy to assemble and disassemble and you have a lot of options for the layout of your garden in case you want to change it in the future. The greatest thing about this product is that I do not have to worry about a wood frame rotting out and having to replace it and I do not have to worry about the chemicals from pressure treated wood seeping into the soil (especially important for a vegetable garden). My only complaint is that it is so short. I have been buying two and stacking them on top of each other so it is more of a raised bed. At $100+ each, it can get pretty expensive... but I hope that they will last a long time to prove they are worth the price!

I bought a variation of this kit at a local home improvement outlet, same manufacturer but with 10 planks and hardware. The price was only $83, so shop around before you buy. Plastic planks are a major advantage to me, since I don't want to worry about replacing rotting wood. The kit components appear to be sturdy and went together easily, though screwing the connectors on to each end was tedious (use a drill). The planks are only 5-1/2 inches high, so unless you are planting a tiny flower bed you will need to stack them, but this is really easy to do. I'm starting with a 2-high stack, but you can add additional planks if you need them at any time. It took me two afternoons to assemble my raised bed out of two kits. In all, this is a great product.

Does everything that is advertised. Very easy to install and it looks great. A bit expensive, but you pay for durability.

The Frame It products are no longer as pictured w/ the solid tan more real wood looking product. I had one I bought from costco and loved it. The ones I just ordered from home depot (pictures were the same as these-so grossly misleading) were a cheap looking shiny plastic that easily become scratched (in fact factory packed w/ scratches and dented ends), medium brown color but not the same as the connectors. Not attractive at all. The ONLY reasons I did not return them was they were heavily discounted and since I had already plowed up my yard so I could quickly set them up and prepare the soil for spring planting. I plan to post this same review on their website.

Works great at 6" height in consultation with Mel Bartholomew's latest edition of his "All-New Square Foot Gardening" book also available via amazon.com. Make your own "Mel's Mix" and for most veggies or flowers you only need 6" height. With this frame kit I transformed a neglected corner of my backyard into an instant magnet for butterflies and bumblebees.Add drama to your planting as I did creating a grid of 32 sqares clearly demarcated with red poly twine threaded through heavy duty screen eyes readily hand screwed into these "timbers." Devote one square foot to each plant type spacing based on expected size, eg, 1 cabbage or 1 salvia per square versus 16 carrot or onion seeds per square. Try it, you'll like it! I paid a reduced price on a repackaged frame set from waarehouse deals. It had minor damage that doesn't show once installed and surrounded with a few inches of bark mulch. Yes, it is brown and has genuine fake wood-grain. This is a somewhat challenging but doable size as a starterr Square-Foot Garden. Try it Mel's way!

Easy to assemble without instructions. I did manage to break two post caps because the ground wasn't level. Package came open when UPS driver unloaded. The package was poorly taped shut. No items were lost.

This product has a wrong name, it should not be call "raised" garden, if it is not raised,it is way over prized, any one knows how to cut treated 8 foot wood with a saw can make it with $12.00. The cost is not practical. This product can not be used with other products from the same company. The shipping cost to return is about 1/4 of the material. Be sure to know what it is before order this item.
