Why hide precious memories inside a book? For something fresh and new, think off the page and outside the bindings. Every crafter is hungry for original techniques and unique canvases to express her skills, and Stephanie Inman, a graphic designer with an appealing contemporary approach, will feed that desire. She offers stylish yet wonderfully accessible suggestions for transforming photographs, memorabilia, and other visual material into artistic keepsakes: her imaginative ideas range from magnificent shadow boxes to cleverly designed frames. All the projects are showcased in gorgeous full color photographs--most shown in home settings--along with detail shots and conceptual sketches.

Framed Memories is about taking your photos, mementos, and keepsakes - the celebrations of your life and experiences - and showcasing them in new ways. Its a little like scrapbooking for your walls. I loved using unusual objects in the projects. I used barbeque skewers, curly willow branches, bits of linoleum, broken jewelry.. lots of found materials. Using shadowboxes, frames and trays as a base freed me to incorporate 3-dimensional items that cant be used in a traditional scrapbook or standard frame. It is my wish that the reader is inspired to share their stories and create their very own framed memories.
