Editorial Reviews

Product Description

A comprehensive paediatric occupational therapy textbook for the entry level student, this text is organized through the structure of frames of reference rather than by diagnostic category. Appropriate for adoption in courses focusing on paediatric practice, development dysfunction and neuro-developmental treatment, the book can also be used in courses on theory and functional disorders of childhood. Practising therapists should also find this an informative reference.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent resource, August 22, 2001
By A Customer
This book provides an excellent guide for moving from theory to practice! Each frame of reference is clearly delineated and the application to practice section of each frame of reference demonstrates how it can be used. It is a critical resource for providing theory based interventions. Good background information is provided for becoming a good, well rounded pediatric practitioner.

By A Customer
I am teaching a course on pediatric occupational therapy in Germany. This book has been a life-saver for me, since it has given me clear definitions of major frames of reference in use around the world. I am looking forward to the newest edition!
