I've purchased this book as a beginning resource for writing research reports with my 3rd graders. Includes modern pictures, maps, and sampling of French vocabulary words. I really like the "How-to" section in the back for learning to play a childrens' game or craft activity from the country. Doesn't include information regarding historical events or economic opportunities. None the less a very good resource for writing a beginning research report.
