This CD shows how absolute versatile Xavier Cugat was as an orchestra leader and musical artist. To me, he was and is an icon. On this CD, mostly semi-classical arrangements and beautiful. On the rest of my CD's that I own [of Cugat] mostly infectious rhythms that I truly love. To me, Xavier Cugat was a musical giant. Thank you.

a real classic!,

As the above reveiewer says this is a beautiful album. Of the later Cugat albums I always thought the Mercury stuff was best but this album really impressed me. It,s evident a lot of time and thought went in to the arrangements and the recording quality and musicianship are of the highest order. Apart from a poor Musicor album Cugie done right at the end ,this was the last time Cugie done a whole album with strings. Any Cugat collection should include this album,buy with confidence.
