A lack-luster read,

I have a collection of Ms. Smith's Regency romance novels, rarely there would be dull reads. Unfortunately, this was one of those very rare ones...The writing itself was not original or intriguing; the pace was a bit dragging; but most of all, it was the heroine I really had a hard time with. She was not Ms. Smith's usual smart, sassy, and fun character, this Francesca was non-sensible, irrational, and stubborn--a heroine I can't like. I know this review might be harsh, but I know Ms. Smith could have done better... just not this one.
