Cannot read notes in Kindle version,

This review is from: Francis Bacon and the Transformation of Early-Modern Philosophy (Kindle Edition)
This review concerns solely the electronic formatting of this book, not its content (its scholarship or interest).
I am unable to view many of the footnotes. By this I mean that the superscript note number does not function as a link: when I move the cursor over it, there is no way to click on it (except to highlight it, as one can highlight any text whatsoever.) For instance, in Chapter One, notes 3, 5, 11, 17, 24, 25, 41, 47, 48, 50, 51, 53, 54, 58, 67, and 70 are missing. In Chapter Two, notes 13, 14, 17, 25-28, 31, 46, 57-58. 63-65, and 68-70 are missing. And so on, throughout the book. When I scroll through the notes pages (at the very end of the book), many of the missing notes turn up, but out of sequence. Obviously, this is a very inefficient way to check references, etc., and some notes do not appear at all. I hope Amazon and/or the publisher will remedy the situation. |
