For aficianadoes/connoiseurs only; not for the uninitiated. This most excellent disc features the finest realizations of Franck's exquisite piano works.
Paul Crossley has an unusually deep insight into the art; plus, he has the technique to execute it: his heartstopping below-pulse rate falling chords are breathlessly ambient.
This is the best Franck out there. Totally worth buying from a 3rd party vendor. Get it while you can.

I have become a Paul Crossley fanatic over the last year. While I am not as enamored with Franck as much as I am with Ravel, Poulenc, Debussy, and Faure, these pieces were absolutely beautiful, and beautifully played. Crossley has a way of making the piano sing--- the phrasing and flow is outstanding.

Ethereal. Variation III, Andante (Tempo 1) is possibly one of the best compositions for solo piano. More performers should record these works. A bit difficult to find any performence of this on youtube.
