MY NEW LOVES! :), September 6, 2008
I just received these yesterday, (only three days after ordering and I just had the standard shipping, which was free by the way! :) So I was impressed off the bat with that. As soon as I opened my box, I was immediatley in love with these shoes! In my first review of my shoe purchase I admit to being skeptical of buying on-line...I am a visual person and just like to see how something looks on me before buying. Well seeing as how I had such a great experience the first time, I decided to come back here when the mall and department stores had failed me yet again. :)
Okay, first off, I have big feet...maybe not so much as big, they are just long. I wear a size 10 M, so a lot of times a shoe I find to try on in stores, usually ends with, "I'm sorry, we are all out your size" (It's because other bigger feet people snatch up the only other pair they made in that size :)
All I wanted was a black stylish pair of Mary Janes....with a decent heel of course, not chunky, not real high, not real pointy, just a nice little heel. Apparentely in my area that is hard to find. :) I feel it is important I mention the heel, because what I was coming across either looked like hooker heel/Halloween shoes (because that was the only time I imagined someone would want to wear a shoe of such horror) or something a five year old would wear, completely flat. (Not that flats aren't cute, because they are, I actually have a pair of flat heeled boots, but BOOTS and mary janes are quite different, and with Mary Janes on my thirty-one year old self, well they just look rather goofy :)
I LOVE Franco Sarto's shoes, excellent quality, so I knew that these shoes, size wize and comfort, would satisfy me greatly. (they fit true to size)Having already known how good a shoe brand Franco Sarto is, I was elated to come across these Mary Janes. THESE WERE EXACTLY IT! Love the style, so chic and classy. And the heel, PERFECT! Not real short, and not too high, ...or pointy. :) It's a good balance heel. You can walk in them without feeling like you are going to fall over. :) These are very comfortable shoes.
I like my shoes to be stylish and sophisticated (who doesn't?:) without killing my feet. They're just a perfect blend of "girly, but not too girly, meets modern woman. :) The stitching on the shoe is perfect, as is the overall design.
The strap is the only teensy tiny flaw, the loop the strap goes in is quite small, so it takes a few minutes to get the strap in there. It's not enough at all to be bothered by, at least for me. I just feel it is important to accurately potray the shoe. :)
Overall they are just a darling pair of Mary Janes and you will not be dissapointed!

I got these in the Camel Mirage. They're very cute and comfortable. I was looking for a lower heel, that still had some style. Great for work or for casual- love them :-)

First of all, I received these shoes VERY quickly - within 3 days. Secondly, these shoes look great! They are extremely stylish and I think will dress up any outfit. They seem to be very comfortable and pretty much fit to size. I have narrow feet and low arches, and it looks like the shoe may be just a little too big with a tiny bit of space behind the heel when I wear them, but, they actually fit perfect. A smaller size would be too small. I also usually have to put insoles in every pair of shoes I own for them to fit comfortably, but with this pair I did not. The only other thing is, the backs seem a little bit cheap and cardboardy, but, I still find them very comfortable. I will probably only wear these for special occasions, so, not sure how they would hold-up with lots of wear. I still recommend for those of us who don't wear any kind of heel often but need a show off a little style sometimes - these are comfortable and look very nice.
