There's a very similar car charger on Amazon with vastly more reviews and those are on the whole very positive reviews and at the time of this review it's less expensive than this item; I bet Amazon will show it to you in the "Customers Who Viewed This Item Also Viewed" section and you can also likely get there through looking through my reviews. In any event, where that charger perfectly charges my Samsung Galaxy Tab (the original 7" model) as its specs say it will, this charger does NOT charge that Samsung Galaxy Tab even though its specs also are claimed to be sufficient to charge the Samsung Galaxy Tab: that particular Samsung Galaxy Tab requires 2A at 5V and so this product should, by virtue of its specs, have worked just fine--just like the other charger does (that is, to be clear: the other charger charges the Samsung Galaxy Tab perfectly). So it's clear it's not me and it's not the Samsung Galaxy Tab, it's that this charger doesn't live up to its billing. So I tucked my tail between my legs, bought the other awesome charger and shipped this bad one back (far my trouble than the return itself was worth but I felt that I needed to return it on principle). I don't really know Amazon's policy on cross-linking products and I don't feel like looking into it but if you're interested, you can probably figure out what the other charger is by checking out my other reviews.
