In terms of sound, this really does a great job at amplifying music. I use it with my laptop sometimes and it is easily twice as loud as the highest volume on the laptop pc ( I own a dell xps).
The great thing about this is that it can connect by bluetooth or by audio cable and he sound is amazing and LOUD!
The not so great things about this is that the little button on the front of the ball is kind of small. You really have to press on hard to turn it on. It gets annoying sometimes.
I would prefer if there were a play/pause/rewind /forward button on the back of the item, but I don't really use it with my ipod and when I do, I just use the ipod itself to do those things, so it isn't the end of the world. Still, something to think about.
Is it worth the price they are charging for it? Maybe. The sound is really loud and powerful and the item comes beautifully packaged. $10 bucks cheaper and I would say this is the best bluetooth speaker out there period.
I got it early at a really good price. The price kept going up. It started at $15, and the last I saw it, it was $40. It is currently unavailable. I don't think I would pay $40, but at $20 it was a really good deal. I left off 1 star because of the price increase.
Other than that, it has good sound and produces it loud enough to be impressed by its size.
Cons: Tiny on off button, but tactile so it's easy to find by feel. Some buzz when charging and using at same time.
Charging input not industry standard mini or micro usb so you have to use propietary cable. Who needs another cable to keep track of? Note to maker: Fix this and you have a winner.
Not water resistant.
Overall, I'm satisfied with the speaker at the price point I paid. If it were more expensive I would buy a comparable high rated and very durable speaker that I could use anywhere. I wouldn't just toss this one in a bag and go to the beach but its fine for listening to music and video on my android and laptop at home. And it looks really cool! It's a Leaverite! Look, don't touch, leave it right there.
Volume is only controlled on the phone, which I thought would be a downside, but so far, not so much.
Connection was simple and has remained flawless. I listen to it about 30 a day and charge it about every two weeks.
It's inexpensive enough that I'm seriously thinking about placing one in every room I spend much time in.
The speaker has built in battery so you can place the speaker anywhere without cable attached.
The only drawback is the speaker did not include a USB port wall charger, so you have to either plug it in to your computer to charge or purchase the USB port wall charger.

Love it, love it, love it. Surprising sound from a small speaker. I am not a 'blaster', I prefer to keep my hearing, so I cannot attest to full volume. Read morePublished 11 months ago by Linwe
