This review is from: Frank Millers Bad Boy HC Miller Cvr (Hardcover)
Bad Boy originally produced by OniPress a very small comics company is one of Millers more off beat works because it is not a gritty urban crime story or superhero story. It probably is his least violent work which actually is good A character study of a boy who suspects his parents arent really his biological parents but people assigned to be his parents as part of an experimental community. This community we later find out kidnaps very small children so they can raise them in an environment that is meant to make them unquestioning slaves of the government yes it is a government sponsored community The implication by the leader in charge of the project is that eventually the aim is to institute government control of children on a nationwide scale. Here is Millers libertarianism and anti authority and skepticism about government in full bloom.Bisleys art is quite good catching the nightmarish aspect of the community with panache.A good book but hard to find the best bet is to go through Amazon
