5.0 out of 5 stars The best glue in the world.
The product is great. I've been using it for 16 years. I do a lot of woodworking projects. This is much better than the new Gorilla glue. Gorilla glue requires you to wet(water) one of the surfaces. If you've already seald the surface, it doesn't work very well. It also increases in size and oozes out onto your project and looks terrible. I would recommend Weldbond...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not serious glue
I thought I was getting "clear", and it even said "clear" on my order but this was white glue that also dried white. It cracked after a few days and failed. This looks, acts and even smells like the white glue I used in kindergarten. I'm going back to Shoe Goo. It takes a year or two for it to dry out.

Oh, by the way, if you have some kind of problem with...

5.0 out of 5 stars We just call it NASA glue, January 3, 2007

In my office Weldbond is know as my NASA glue.

I work at an architectural firm and I have had trouble getting rubber products, brick, stone, etc. to stick to color presentation boards with other glues and/or hot glue. This is the best stuff EVER! People know if they want it to stick... they come get my NASA glue, and yes I do have the print-out of how it has been approved by NASA for use on the Space Shuttle just to prove the point.

4.0 out of 5 stars Be careful with this stuff, August 29, 2010

Bought the glue to attach mosaic glass tile pieces to bathroom wall in a direct application. The pieces were small, 1/4 to 1/2 inch, and the glue ended up on my fingers and then on the face of the glass, when it was willing to adhere to the vertical surface. The grout stuck to the glue and I had to use dental tools and a special cleaner to get it off the glass. I am sure the adhesive is good, dries clear, but although tile sources recommended it I would not use it again for my kind of project.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for ceramics, July 16, 2010

I ran across this product when I was creating a stove backsplash and a kitchen island countertop out of many little pieces of stone. By using a mesh backing netting and this glue, I was able to lay out my design in sections and keep the little tiny pieces where they belonged. And when I changed my mind, I could pull the little pieces off the backing/glue and reposition them. (If the glue is dried, you can scrape it off with a razor blade knife without damaging the stone.) I have also used this product for repairing ceramic pottery, and it is wonderful. Easy to work with, easy to wipe off excess before it dries, dries clear. Definitely recommend.

After trying several different grades and types of glue, Weldbond came out on top for gluing original ivory key laminates back on to vintage piano keys. The glue is thin and doesn't raise the laminate height, and bonds very strongly. I tried other PVA glues, but they were thicker and slid around longer. Weldbond bonds very well to the ivory and cleans up easily.

An incredible glue to use with glass mosaics. Waterproof, no smell, strong, non-toxic, I have been using it for years. No other product like this on the market. The only drawback is that it dries quickly, and tends to form a skin that you have to throw out if you expose too much of it to the air. Despite this, an amazing product.

5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect indoor adhesive for mosaic arts and other crafts, December 17, 2011

I use Weldbond for mosaic art intended for indoor use. You can't use Weldbond for outdoor mosaics because it's waterbased. The mosaic technique I use is direct adhesion with Weldbond on my cartoon. Weldbond gives you enough working time so you can place your tesserae exactly where you want, wipe up any excess adhesive and even change your mind if needed. Yet it sets firm quickly enough so that you can keep workingat a reasonable pace. I've used Weldbond on substrates such as glass, primed masonite, primed particle board, etc and it always works perfectly drying to a perfectly clear transparency. You do have to remember to buy a suffcient supply in late Fall to carry you through the Winter because if it is shipped during freezing weather, it may get ruined because it is water based and can freeze.

Since I have it on hand for my mosaic work, it has become my "go to" material for many simple household repairs. A lifted edge of wallpaper, a loose floor tile, a chipped edge on pottery, etc. All in all, great stuff to keep on hand for lots of uses.

Oh, by the way, if you have some kind of problem with this glue you should find out quick because the seller only allows returns up to five days after you receive the product and you have to pay return shipping charges. I suggest you get the smallest least expensive glue first before you buy a bigger size.

Hopefully your luck with this white stuff will be better than mine.
