Beautiful,

Do yourself a favor and snap up this special edition of Storyville. Santoro takes comics in exciting new directions with this book. His loose style makes this story of friendship, hard living and traumatic memory feel almost accidental, but the structure is there, always moving the story forward. As a reader, I felt like I had happened across someone's diary - something s/he had written for him/herself, so there's also a feeling of sneaky pleasure inherent in the reading. It's a beautiful book; one of those rare comics you'll want to read over and over.
