This original rock n roll art painting measures 15 X 15 inches. The painting is acrylic paint on wood panel. Signed by the artist, Cal Schenkel. Please note that each image will vary slightly from the illustration and will include a variety of sayings in talk bubbles above the characters (these are truly unique images!). Inspired by the artwork Schenkel produced for the fourth Frank Zappa / Mothers of Invention album, released in 1968, titled Cruising with Ruben and The Jets. Since Zappa was a huge fan of Do-Wop music, it only made sense that he'd craft an album of original Do-Wop compositions done in only-Zappa arrangements and with always-hilarious lyrics.
