This an academic book (Syracuse University Press) that lumps all women's sf writing into 3 catagories: 1. Utopiean Science in Science Fiction by Women, 2. Beautiful Alien Monster-Women--BAMs, 3. Cross--Dressing as a Male narrator. The "women in SF feild" is much broader than that. But it is a good look at how the SF feild has treated women.
