This is a fabulous compilation 2-CD set of original recordings from the 1950s and early 1960s era. There is a new recording on the collection, a beautifully reminiscent song called, "When the Good Guys Used to Win", sung by Frankie Avalon. The enclosed CD booklet includes short anecdotes from Frankie Avalon about the music artists featured in the collection.

Definitely a great gift for any fan of the Malt Shop era of music!!

Some of the songs on this CD I had not heard before even though that was my era--great American songs! Definitely a classic to fit in your library! My favorite is the title song that Frankie Avalon sings about the Lone Ranger--Good Guys!
