I really love this soundtrack. I do agree however that many of the songs on it are just fillers, but the rest of the songs are great. Claire De Lune is so well done and is just beautiful. Flower Market is another wonderful song. I love the flower scene in the movie and the song brings me back to it every time I listen to it. "It Must Be Love" and "What a Fool Believes" are two great songs as well. The first song, "Until You Let Go" is kind of cheesey but is catchy too. I was also very disappointed when I heard the song "Frankie and Johnny" on the cd. It was just terrible. I really liked the one in the opening credits but unfortunately they didn't put that version on the soundtrack. (What a mistake!!) Overall, this is a good cd and you'll enjoy it even more if you have seen the movie.

What a rip off. I bought this cd on the strength of the film soundtrack. The particular song I wanted was the original Frankie and Johnnie as per the opening sequence of the film. How disappointed was I whan some cheesy sounding singer a la corny country and western starts crooning.

Apart from that, the classical/instrumental pieces are good: Flower Market and the Debussy. 'must be love' is good too, as is the Doubie Brothers. The rest of the tape is poor...and where in the film, do they figure?? Clearly they don't, they've been shoved in for good measure. Such a shame, such a disappointment.

I WAS A PROFESSIONAL MUSICIAN A STUDIO GUITARIST TO BE SPECIFIC. I ALWAYS LOVED MUSIC FROM THE TIME I WAS ABLE TO PLAY RECORDS ON MY PARENTS 78RPM RECORD PLAYER. MY MUSICAL TASTES VARY FROM 50'S DOO-WOP TO COUNTRY, POP, JAZZ, NEW AGE, INSTRUMENTALS (GUITARISTS ESPECIALLY) EASY LISTENING, CLASICAL AND MUSICAL CAST RECORDINGS AND MOVIE TRACKS. ONE OF THE CLASSICAL PIECES THAT I ENJOY IS CLAIRE DE LUNE. I HAVE THIS PIECE OF MUSIC ON QUITE A FEW DIFFERENT CD'S BY VARIOUS ARTISTS. WHEN I SAW THE MOVIE FRANKIE & JHONNY FOR THE FIRST TIME ON TV MAINLY BECAUSE OF MICHELLE PFEIFFER AND AL PACINO TWO OF MY FAVORITE ACTORS I HEARD YET ANOTHER VERSION OF CLAIRE DE LUNE WHICH I HAD TO HAVE. WHEN I TRIED TO ORDER IT THROUGH MY CD SUPPLIER I WAS INFORMED THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE IT IN STOCK AND THAT IT WAS OUT OF PRODUCTION.RECENTLY I PURCHASED SOME OTHER CD'S AND WHILE DISCUSSING OUT OF PRODUCTION CD'S MY SUPPLIER SUGGESTED THAT I TRY AMAZON .COM, SURE ENOUGH THERE IT WAS. AMAZON.COM HAD SOME USED CD'S AND A FEW NEW C D'S. I QUICKLY ORDERED A NEW CD. AFTER LISTENING TO THE CD I REALIZED THAT I LIKED ALL OF THE SELECTIONS ON THE CD, BUT MY FAVORITE SELECTION IS STILL CLAIRE DE LUNE AND THAT IS WHY I AM HAPPY THAT I FOUND IT.

This is a very heartwarming movie and I love the soundtrack especially Claire de Lune.

I bought this cd mostly for the version of "Clair De Lune". The music & piano playing (Marvin Hamlisch/Ralph Grierson) is so beautiful, & it reminds me of the scene in the movie, all so romantic. 2 other selections of instrumental score is also fine. Rickee Lee Jones does "It Must Be Love" very well. The music really adds to the movie which has been 1 of my favorites, so I had to have the soundtrack. There's a few different tunes also thats disco-ie. I seem to remember a different version of the theme song of "Frankie & Johhny" than whats on the cd.
