Frankie the Walk 'n Roll Dog A PAWSitive Coloring and Paper Doll Activity Book definitely is a pawsitive book for children. I give it "four paws up" which is the most you can get in the doggie world, right? It is based on the Frankie the Walk 'n Roll Dog book by the same author, Barbara Techel. Children get much more than coloring fun, they get to read Frankie's story and see some color photographs, too. At the end of the book, Frankie "comes alive" via a paper doll.

Frankie's story is one of overcoming, being positive, making a difference, and motivating others to "keep on rolling!" Coloring the pages, pulls kids in and helps them to make the book "their own," in more ways than one. For anyone familiar with Frankie and Barbara, you know what fun they have wearing various outfits--sometimes even matching ones! (Be sure to check out the website.) The paper doll with more than a dozen outfits will provide hours of imaginary play.

What a great addition this makes to the Frankie series. Keep on rolling, Frankie!

My three children love Barbara Techel's new "Frankie the Walk 'N Roll Dog Coloring and Paper Doll Activity Book." There are plenty of activities to keep all of them busy, between coloring, reading the story, and dressing Frankie in her paper outfits. We appreciate that the pages can be removed, so multiple kids can enjoy the book at the same time. Our family also has a dachshund with paralysis and a set of wheels, and Barbara's wonderful books about Frankie's story have helped my children to better understand animals who have physical challenges, and have also facilitated their understanding and comfort level with people who live with physical challenges."

I've been in love with Frankie the walk 'n roll dog ever since I met the adorable dachshund on her blog. She's the epitome of the little dog who can! Frankie suffered from a spinal injury and was custom-fitted for a special wheelchair. Her mom, Barbara Techel, has a passion for bringing a positive face and voice to animals with disabilities.

This new coloring book is full of big beautiful, bold illustrations to color, along with the story of Frankie and her PAWsitive attitude. Some of the pages contain photographs of Frankie, with frames and backgrounds to color. In addition, there is an adorable Frankie paper doll--uh, paper dog, with sweaters, hats and bandannas!

This book is a perfect gift for any child. While they are coloring and playing, they will be learning a valuable lesson about capabilities, lessons that they can apply to both animals and people.
