Purchased as a b-day present for our very-disappointed 6-yr old who loves skee ball. After a fairly easy set-up, problems began. Primary one = electronic scoring didn't work (the wiring system is extremely poorly constructed). Amazon was great with the return and replacement, but sure enough the second one had the same exact problem (plus another broken part). Subsequent searches thru Google and Franklin's site show the product is no longer available (other than ebay and 2nd rate online stores). Stay away from this horrible product.

after reading reviews i was hesitant to order it- but i know most people only leave bad reviews not good ones. i went ahead and got it as a Christmas gift any ways. it arrived days earlier then expected, and set up only took 3 min. but as with all the other reviews we also had issues. the balls didnt always go through the scoring holes, but it did always score correctly and would pop through when the next ball was tossed. i was willing to deal with that assuming they may improve with play. but the 2nd time some one scored a 30 point, the very fragile "fnger tab" inside the hole that indicates a score broke off. according to franklin replacement web site they would have replaced the part for the first 30 days, after that it would have cost me $20+shipping to have them send me a new part every time it broke. and the replacement of that is the entire scoring system, not an easy fix. i contacted franklin directly and asked if the replacement part was an improved part (as that sometimes happens). after 14 days of no response from them i choose to return the item to amazon for a full refund.

First this gift was received late! Was suppose to be delivered by December 24 not received until December 29. When product was opened we found the start button not attached to frame. Screws missing from scoreboard. Very flimsy product not worth the $107.51 paid for this item. Save your money!! Kids very disappointed!!

I bought Franklin's "Whirl Ball" for $25 at Target (75% off) after Christmas a couple years ago.

No, it's not the most sturdy or best quality....but if you love skee-ball, this is a great, affordable option.
It also folds up about half the size as when it's open, so storage is a bit easier than a heavy-duty wooden skeeball machine.

Over the months/years, we've played it inside, outside on screen porch & it now lives under the screen porch, for playtime when we're outside with friends. My kids and I still love playing it!
I've changed the hard-balls that were included with it to tennis balls, and they work fine.
It's held up pretty well, given usage & storage.

Bottom line - if you're looking for skeeball at home fun, semi-accurate scoring, and a space saver, this is your game!

The Whirl-Ball Aracade is great for little kids. It's not as fun as the real Skee-ball, though it works the same way. It just doesn't pack as much punch. It's a fun novelty. It came in a very timely fashion. Set up was very easy.

Was broken out of the box and about a week later the support bars started to break. Stay away from this product.
