5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product High Price Here
This product is great. The goal is set up in about 45 seconds and takes down almost as quickly. Comes with a storage bag. A bit pricey here, Wal-mart carries this item for 19.99. shop around.

Santa brought this gift to our 4 year old for Christmas. It comes in a storage bag with strap. It pops up easily and there's not to much difficulty in putting the poles in for support. It also comes with stakes to keep the net in one place, however, I cannot figure out how to "twist" the net back into a circle to place it back into the storage bag. There were no instructions with the net.

I have contacted Franklin Sports to see if they can help me with this problem. To date, I have not heard back from them but if I do, I will be sure to let you know what happened.

So my suggestion is that unless you have a place to keep the net when not in use, since it can't be closed and leaving it outdoors will surely ruin it, buy something else.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Item, April 23, 2008

Purchased for 6-year-old....great product for the money. She loves it. Took a few 'trial and errors' to figure out how to collapse it for storage, but now it folds up perfectly and tucks into its case. Very happy with this item.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun for indoor or outdoor play, January 17, 2009
This review is from: Franklin Pop-Up Junior Goal (Sports)
Both my boys, age 5&6, enjoy this goal. Indoors with a nerf or other soft ball, or nerf-type ball or dart gun, as well as outdoors with a soccer ball.

4.0 out of 5 stars Getting It Back In The Storage Bag, February 18, 2011
This review is from: Franklin Pop-Up Junior Goal (Sports)
Was very pleased with the item, other than when it came to getting it back in the storage bag. Not unpacking and re-packing it for months during the winter wasn't helping. No instructions came with it. If Franklin wanted to make a 4-star rating a 5-star rating, they would find some way to let customers know that this is one way to repack the net: (1) Stand the net up on one edge. (2) Grab the corners of the net frame that are in the air and push them forward and down until both frame edges touch together, i.e., fold the net in half. (3) Using your left hand, grasp both frame edges at the midway point, i.e., halfway between the frame corners. (4) Stand up. (5) When you pick the net up off the ground with your left hand, the net should form a long open loop on each side of your left hand. (6) Take the left-side loop and rest it against your left thigh. (7) Begin pushing the right-side loop beneath the left-side loop. Stop when you see the net frame has formed a circle that is facing you. (8) Using your right hand, grab the net frame where it crosses itself (this will likely be on the lower right hand side of the circle that is facing you.) The net frame should now be forming one circle that is facing you and another circle that is formed below your left hand. (9) While holding the net frame together on the right side, loosen your left hand grip. The frame will sometimes automatically start collapsing into three overlapping circles. If it does not automatically collapse, use your left hand to force the top part of the left side-loop below that part of the frame which is making the circle which is facing you, push the top of the left-side circle until it is against that part of the net frame that you are holding with your right hand. (10) The net frame should now be folded into three overlapping circles. (11) If necessary, move each of the three loops around to form three uniform, overlapping circles. (12) Stick the net in the bag. I hope this helps those of you that are struggling. I hope Franklin will put some instructions in the bag!

3.0 out of 5 stars Toss Up, November 23, 2010

This is a really neat product. I purchased this for my son's third birthday as a way to get him started in soccer. I couldn't figure out how exactly to put it back up after getting it out of the bag but somehow managed to stuff it back in there. Also it said it came with ground pegs, never figured out where those were..... We used it without putting pegs into the ground and it worked fine for now but if my son gets any bigger we will probably have to figure out a solution to not having the pegs. It's great to pull it out, play with it for a while, then put it away!

4.0 out of 5 stars Very happy, good buy, June 28, 2009

Bought this for my 4-year-old, really likes it and it's holding up well, even when not used for intended purpose. Much better price than other brands I've seen out there.

This is a great pop-up goal. It has two small shock cord poles that are stored in a pocket in the carrying bag, and they are great to stabilize the goal when it is being used. The goal "pops up" and then the poles are inserted in a pocket on each side of the base. Easy to fold flat when the small poles are removed. I bought two and the children love them!

2.0 out of 5 stars Great product if you DON'T use it, January 11, 2011
This review is from: Franklin Pop-Up Junior Goal (Sports)
The idea is great, but from daily use the nylon surrounding the metal frame has worn out, the metal frame whipped out and almost struck my son, therefore making the product defective.

If you have this product, I highly recommend figuring out a way to reinforce the nylon around the frame with something that will withstand daily use of folding and unfolding.

I will NOT buy again and I would NOT recommend to a friend.
