The body of this tee is heavy duty. The problem is that the part that holds the ball is flimsy. The ball is held on rubber fingers (zoom in to the top and you will see what I mean). The rubber fingers break off during normal use. Franklin does not stock the replacement piece (called a "ball holder" on the [...]). I made the mistake of ordering what appeared to be the correct replacement piece but it turned out to be for the model 1956 and will not work with this tee (model 1957). In short, the body of the tee is heavy duty but the part that holds the ball wears out quickly and replacement parts are not available. I would not buy this tee again.

The notches on the top break really quickly and you can't get replacement parts. The rest of the tee is heavy duty plastic, but it's useless without the top part that holds the ball. I don't recommend this item.

I am a senior that has started playing softball again in the "old Timer's" league. I needed to get my stroke back and have found this to help with my swing and power. I use a heavy bat in the winter for strength training and to help my eye on the ball. I have been able to regain some of my long ball power with the use of this tee and the 48 oz. bat found here on Amazon. Use of the Tee will help anyone get their eye back, and help regain bat speed. Even pros use a Tee!
