From the Back Cover

Episode One

FRANKLIN PLAYS THE GAME
Franklin's soccer team loses every game. As a matter of fact, they don't even score. Even so, Franklin is determined to be the best player on his team. Ultimately, Franklin learns to put his team over himself in order to rally them for the final game.

FRANKLIN WANTS A PET
When Franklin spots a puppy in the pet shop window, he sets out to prove to his parents that he can take good care of a pet if they buy him one. The only thing is, Franklin can't figure out what sort of pet he wants.

Episode Two

HURRY UP, FRANKLIN
Turtles are slow, but Franklin's penchant for constantly stopping to smell the roses makes him slow even for a turtle. But when it comes to his best friend Bear's surprise birthday party, Franklin is determined to be on time. However, he discovers too late that once again he's allowed his preoccupation with the little things to sidetrack him.

FRANKLIN'S BAD DAY
Franklin finds himself having the "worstest" day of his life. He's made to play outside in the snow although he doesn't want to. The ice on the pond is too thin to skate on and the pitted toboggan run ruins the ride. Ultimately, Franklin is sent to his room for talking back to his mother. In a burst of frustration he knocks down the toy castle he built with his good friend Otter and only then realizes why he's feeling so badly -- Otter has moved away and he's trying to deal with the loss of a good friend he feels he'll never see again.

This review is from: Franklin Plays the Game (VHS Tape)
My 26 month old son does not watch tv and we carefully screen the limited videos he watches. the Franklins series teach values and about social interactions. I highly recommend them. Each tape has two stories of ~20min each just enough for the attention span of a two yr old.
