I purchased 2 of these goals for recreational play.

I play 2x a week with a group of 10-15 adults.

I upgraded from PUGG 6 Footer Portable Training Goal Boxed Set (Two Goals & Bag)

The PUGG Goals are great, 10 seconds to put up to play, and they fold up nicely.

Then why the upgrade?

Pros:
1) Size. Its much more fun to take shots at goal, when there is a decent sized target to take aim at.
2) Sturdy goal. A full grown adults take shots at this goal, and the ball bounces back from the Post.
3) Playing a game of soccer with REAL goals, instead of just cones. A completely different game compared to when playing with Cones or PUGG goals.

Cons:
1) Assembly ( takes about 3 minutes to put up the frame, and 2 minutes to put the net up.
2) Dis-assembly - same as above
3) No Carry Bag Included. I purchased a separate 42"x25" Bag to house the goals in.
4) WEIGHT.. They are 25LBS EACH. So a total of 50lbs to be carried to and from car.
5) Size. Takes a a Decent amount of space in my trunk.

Overall VERY satisfied with the Build quality, especially for the low price.

The boxes that came with the goals, got rained on in the first game we played.
The boxes are cardboard and got ruined. I purchased the following Duffle bag:
Side Zipper Canvas Duffle Bags

One 42x25" Bag holds both goals, nets, and a ball with room to spare.

Update August 2010

Our Net ripped on accident when a cleat was stuck in the net.
But its not big enough for a ball to go through so far we are fine.

I purchased this goal for my son who is 13. He is a competitive soccer player who wanted the ability to work on shooting with his left foot of the off days.

The goal is very easy to assemble, even if you have no mechanical aptitude. One of the pieces was missing the spring loaded ball, so one piece does not clip in to its adjoining piece. That has not interfered at all with the goal's functionality.

For the most part, this goal works out well for the back yard. It does fold up without much difficulty so it can be stored when not in use. That said, the goal is on the small side for older kids. My son can easily over-shoot the goal and put the ball over the fence into the neighbor's yard. It does work out well for finesse type shooting.

Well, before u buy it, u gotta know 5 by 10 isn't a really big size for a goal. its great for backyard use, its sort of hard to transport but it is possible.

The nets the only problem becuase it tears way too easily. Had it for a couple weeks and there is already 2 holes from shooting on it and its really anonoying to play on it now.

good price for a goal like this though s oi guess i recomend it

Santa brought two of these for my 10 year old son who was wanting "real goals". They were simple to assemble, and I love that they fold up so we can store them in the garage. These are heavy and sturdy. The boys had a fun game of snow soccer yesterday during their snow day off school. A bonus perk for me is that they are not unsightly in the yard, as you can mostly "see through" them.

I looked everywhere for a goal of this quality and size and the cost was outragous. Thank God for AMAZON. I used this goal twice a week for 8 weeks (16 practices) and it help up very well. Actually i never broke it down. Put it in the back of my truck and hauled it intact for all those practices. I just finished using it and it broke down ok and the net was in perfect shape. I coach 12yo girls and they kicked the heck out of the ball into it and it held up. I recomend this goal. Thank you

i ordered this goal with shipping that said 8-10, it came in 2. and the goal is amazing, easy to set up, not too big not to small. i have a huge basement and i use it down there. i love it

The goal was easy to put together. I (the mom) put it together along with my 10 year old son, and we had no problems. The goal is sturdy and the kids have had a great time with it. My only problem is that I kind of wish I had gone ahead and gotten a 6x12 size goal rather than the 5x10. I was afraid the 6x12 would seem too big for our yard (3/4 acre), but I think it would have been just fine.

Met expectations for 12 very aggressive 9-12 year olds for 2.5 hours, plus they were quick and easy to set up.

This soccer goal is fantastic! It is very well made, and very large. Love the added feature that it can fold up so I can put it away during winter to keep it lasting for many years. This is far greater quality than any I've seen at the local sporting goods stores and for less than half the price, you can't go wrong!

I bought this for my 9 year old and he and his 16 year old brother play with it almost daily. It was easy to assemble, good size & easy to transport around yard. Better with 2 people but if have to do it alone; hold it in the middle & up over your head & drag bottom over ground - I'm 5'6'', any shorter & I couldn't do it. On only the 2nd day, my son's foot went thru the net & ripped a basketball-sized hole in it. Can try to repair it, but still works. String could be stronger! It'll be nice to take camping - folds easily & lays nicely on top of my suburban. Good deal for the money.
