Franklin RF1000 Rolodex Organizer with 1MB Memory

Franklin RF 1000 has more memory than most users will ever need. The average user could keep all personal and business phone numbers and ten years of schedules and not use half the available memory. These organizers are incompatable with many computers. The system requirements fail to list that a serial comunication port at position 1 or 2 is requuired. If you have a serial mouse and a modem you are using both ports 1 and 2, and cannot synchronize with your computer to back up data. The organizer has many good features. It is a usefull tool but backup is unavailable to many purchasers. Franklin technical support cannot help with this problem.

I have just purchased the Rolodex RF-1000 organizer and so far has been excellent. I have been able to sync the organizer with my computer and it was pretty simple. I have been able to put in quite a bit of information and haven't even used a quarter of the memory yet. Thank you Rolodex for the fine product.

I ordered my first one, and figured out how to link with my computer; it was easy to use, and seemed to be perfect for my needs. Then I noticed a "line" of the diplay was missing, making it difficult to read. I reset it, then called the company. They immediately sent me a new one. A week or two later, the same thing happened to this one. I am not going to spend a lot of time entering info into a product that won't work. Also, the address book does not seem compatible with Excel or any other product, so the only record you will have of it is the one that comes with the software. I would rather have one that I could use for other purposes.

I don't think that Superfleaman smells, and I dpn't think that this kind of comments are respectables. Anyway, about the product, maybe is not as the Casio organisers, with an intelligent finder, but is bigger than they in capability (1 MB, do you believe it!). Make two-way conversions (money and measures), and is vey useful for all the SOHO's. THE 1MB-ORGANISER LOOKS VERY SIMILAR TO OTHERS, therefore, is very practic. BUY IT, IS VERY CHEAP, AND IT MUST SAVE YOUR LIFE. Includes cable, manual and software CD (the software must be improved). Another adventage, is that this organiser uses two AAA batteries, very easy to buy, and have a protection data system, in case of battery failure! . I am not working for Franklin-Rolodex, so I don't have any compromise with the manufacturer. PS. On my 1MB organiser have almost 400 phones with name, company, address, fax, e-mail and notes, all the price-list of my competence and mine, my dates and many, many data, and I have used only the 20% of the memory....(if you have Windows NT, you probably will have some problems)..

...the pc - sync for the franklin organisers ONLY work with windows 95/98 and only ENGLISH! versions. Although the organiser supports many different languages.

THIS UNITS DON'T WORK WITH WINDOWS NT!

I think that the Rolodex I received was a notch above a plastic piece of junk. It is clumsy to operate and if I had known this is what it consisted of, I would not have ordered it.

I think this organizer is well worth the money. Apart from the regular features, the best thing I like is the capability to synchoronise with PC. So, now I have no worry of losing data in case I lose the organizer.
