I bought the TES-120 at my college's bookstore,and it was on sale for $15.00 (the regular price being $30.00). I can't believe how expensive it is here on Amazon. I use the translator in my Spanish 101 class, and I have found it extremely helpful and convienient. It is no replacement for a quality Spanish/English dictionary, but it's lightweight and perfect for carrying to class. Once you read the small booklet of instructions, it's quite easy to use. My only complaint is that I don't feel the dictionary is large enough. I don't know how this unit compares to others on the market, so I can't really say if it is worth $45.00 or not, but I'm leaning toward not.

The first unit was purchased as a Christmas present for my daughter. It arrived and upon opening the LCD screen displayed gibberish. I thought "Ok, no biggie, I will return it and get another". The second unit arrived and upon opening had the same exact LCD issues. This one I will send back for a refund and not waste my time with this substandard product. I would recommend to everyone to look elsewhere if they want something that actually works.
