This pinball machine is a good one. My son, who is 8, has really had fun and says he was surprised that it worked like the big machines. I give it 4 stars because it is quite loud even on the low setting. It is a good size and sturdy machine; not like some cheaper made models that break at the slightest tilt. I recommend it if you are looking for this type of game.

We bought this for our 6 year old grandson. He really enjoys playing with it. It plays like a real arcade machine. There are lots of flashing lights, flippers and several "bumpers" that actually work along with a scoreboard. It does make a lot of noise while it is running.

My son as well as myself were so excited when he received this as a gift. He absolutely loved it. The electronic scoreboard part broke after only one week. The company was nice enough (after explaining a few times)to send a whole new game. Again we were so excited. This time the manual part broke and balls were constantly getting stuck in machine so you couldn't keep using them to play without turning whole machine upside down and shaking! A great idea, but extremely poorly made.

This product stopped working one day after Christmas. We even bought the electronic adapter and it the electronic part still won't work. An electronic pinball machine is not much use when you can't get anything to work. This is a huge disappointment and a disgrace. We can't even get a refund because we ordered it the last week of October. So much for being proactive on christmas shopping. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased this through Amazon for a 6yr old boy's Birthday present. I also purchased the recommended ac cord.
We delivered it to him, he opened it in front of us, and the first thing I noticed were the cheap red arrow stickers peeling off the clear plastic casing on top of the machine. Embarrassing! The toy itself would be WONDERFUL if it worked. He loved it at first!!! It was AWESOME, but if pooped out after 10 minutes of play. Unbelievable! Expensive Junk! Basically the score display board quit connecting with the machine. The machine cannot work properly without it b/c the ball no longer bounces, it has no more sound, and it becomes just an oversized junk toy. The worst part is that the boy liked it so much he wants one that works!!! Sad but true!

I bought this pinball game for my grandson's 5th birthday. Exactly ONE day after using the pinball game on his birthday, the game broke. One of the flippers and the on/off switch stopped working. Needless to say, he was very disappointed, as was I. The product is made of plastic and, unfortunately, broke like a cheap plastic product.

As others have written, the Franklin Pinball machine is exciting for kids but cheaply made. The connector piece which secures the power adapter to the back of the machine broke after just 2 days and we will have to mail back the machine for another.

This is work I don't need.

Purchase this for my grandsons; worked initially, but after approximately one month began to slow down and eventially stopped working altogether, even with the a/c cord. Would not recommend this item to anyone who is looking for a long-lasting children's toy.

My daughter loves pinball machines so we got her this one as a economical solution. She was so excited Christmas morning when she opened it. She used it for maybe 5 minutes before it quit. We changed batteries and even went to Radio Shack and tried a plug in adapter and it still wouldn't work. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. I would go so far to recommend to company to stop making it until they can make a better product. I think it is a great idea for kids who like pinball machines and for parents who don't have the money for a real pinball machine. Thankfully Amazon refunded our money.

My 5-year-old son was really excited when he got this for his birthday. And it worked well for about 1 day...then started to shut itself off randomly in the middle of the game. Even after letting it "cool down" it still wouldn't get through a game without shutting off. The problem got worse and worse until we stopped using it--and we've only owned it 2 weeks. If you're still intent on buying, definitely get the AC adaptor...or buy stock in Duracell.
