After 3 swings hitting wiffle balls by my 10 year old, one of the rubber support pieces snapped off of the ball holder. By the end of our time hitting balls we were missing 3 of the supports. I emailed Franklin and within 5 minutes got a call back from customer service. They said they were aware the support pieces had a design flaw and they will send along an insert with an improved support. Three days later got it in the mail and works fine.

After reading reviews from all the batting tee's, I decided to get this Franklin and am very happy.
Ive read others that have metal, and welds break; this batting tee is made only of rubber, and is strong!

Works perfectly for all 3 of my kids, all different heights. The tube just slides in to lower it, or pull it out to make it taller. The rubber tubes are thick, keeping it strong and straight. The tube itself just slides through a hole in the bottom to "assemble" it. That makes it easy to switch between the 3 holes, and also to pull it out for storage with the attached Velcro straps.

I expect the batting tee to last a long time, I smashed it a couple times with bad swings from me and instantly thought, "uh oh, I just broke it"... but I didn't, its perfect. Perfect batting tee for kids of all ages, and adults.

I wouldn't buy this tee if you have an older child or a heavy swinger. My daughter (14 yrs)used this for about two weeks for softball practice. The top of the tee that holds the ball cracked and eventually fell off. We have been using the remaining part of the tube to support the ball after I trimmed it with a knife and supported it with some heavy duty duct tape. I'll have to purchase a new one soon. The return on this item is such that it will cost me to return it and I don't want a replacement. Overall the tee appeared to be a good design, the base is well weighted, but the rubber just isn't durable. If you have a small child just starting out this might be ok, but I think I'd try another product.

the top piece that hold the ball has little plastic spikes that over time fall off it they are hit with the bat... other than that its a quality tee with some weight to it... the only other thing is open it and leave it outside because the rubber smell is so overpowering that my room smelled like it for 3 days after i took it outside

Hard to find a tee of this quality. The plate is a top quality plate and this is similar to the one Tony Gwynn used during his career to place balls in almost any position imaginable for hitting. My boys have gotten so much better at recognizing balls at various spots of the plate. There averages went up when working the tee in everypoint they could think of.

Bought this for my 11 year old, he loves it. Easy for him to reposition height and the different holes. Very durable product, should last a long time.
