My 14 year old son was eager to get this item to practice his pitching, so I bought it and spent an hour and a half assembling it (horrible instructions, BTW. Tiny, unclear, black and white pictures). After about 10 minutes of pitching my son told me that there was a problem. This product has amazingly poor design in that the metal rods on either side of the pitching practice canvas are connected with flimsy *plastic* screws. Now the manufacturer never envisaged a problem with this? Bearing in mind that the users of this product will be throwing hard baseballs at it, some of which will inevitably miss the center target and hit the plastic connectors? Sure enough, one of my son's fastballs (60mph or so) had hit one of the plastic connectors, which immediately (and predictably) cracked and split, after which it could not hold the metal rods together, rendering the product useless.

So now I have to spend an hour or so disassembling this product to return it. All in all a bad experience with a substandard, shoddy item.

I got this for our elementary age softball pitcher and middle school age infielder and it is great for both! The pitching side has two options with either the catcher picture that "catches" pitches in the strike zone or the reverse plain background with strike zone outline. The catcher provides instant feedback and no quibbling about whether it was in the strike zone. If the pitch goes in, it was good.

The opposite side of the frame has the bounce-back net. You can change the tilt very easily to get it to return fly balls or grounders. It is great for one person to practice fielding.

This product has ended a lot of bickering, letting each child do their own practice. The only downfall is that because of the tilt needed on the fielding side, it is impractical to use both sides at once, which would have been perfect. But this is easy and, so far, durable and I recommend it highly!

This is an excellent product for a very good price compared to other nets. The pitching side works great with the ball collection bag and the other is great for fielding practice. I was able to put it together with little problem (the net side was a little hard with the bungees and trying to pull very hard). I would highly recommend this net for aspiring tweens who want to learn to pitch strikes and field bouncers!

My husband loves playing wiffle ball in the back yard with his friends-I don't understand it, but they all seem to love it. I bought him this backstop and Blitz balls for his birthday and was praised as the greatest wife on the planet. One side of this backstop has stretched webbing that allows for ball bounce-back. The other side has the target. When you hit the red target with the ball, it will be fed back to you. This backstop seems super sturdy and made well. My husband has already logged hours upon hours of playing time with it and absolutely loves it.

the thing broke after two days after I got the thing DO NOT BUY ITS ALFUL. Gets rust out QUICK.

I bought this item because it was cheaper than the other ones. I made a huge mistake!!!!!!!! My son is 9 yr old in little league. He used it 2 weeks and it is useless already. He told me he hit the side bars few times and it started bending. My son is average 9 yr old. If it bends after few hits, its not worth your money. Don't buy this one!!!!!!

Bought this net 6 months ago for my 8YO son to practice pitching. He used it 3 times and the net started to tear and then one of poles bent when the ball hit it. I would never buy another net like this. I talked to his coach and he recommended getting an AllStarNet.com pitching net. I bought one for around $70 and my son loves it. He uses it at home in the back yard and we even started taking it to practice for the team to use. It works great, very sturdy, will build, and the guys at All Star were very helpful. Even gave me some suggestions on pitching practice routines. These guys know baseball and build a great net.

This pitch back/pitch into is good as far as looks go but the frame is WAY to weak to sustain the tension of the strings.The frame on mine is really bent and the pitch back does not work at all.
DO NOT BUY THIS IT IS NOT WELL MADE!

I bought this "return net" for my 16 year old son. The net was durable, but the frame cannot handle his speed.

He doesn't play organized baseball but he likes to practice pitching. The frame broke down within two weeks. He hit the it with a few fastballs and it bent. He was able to use it for a couple more weeks before it finally broke down completely. I guess he's too strong for this net. He can throw 70 mph from 60', but another reviewer described a average man using it for pitching practice, so I thought maybe it would work.

I recommend limiting it to the 12 and under crowd.

my 6 and 4 year old sons wore this out. They don't throw 90 yet. I was therefore disappointed that I had to replace after a few months. Funny thing is the first throw actually went through the net. I did get a replacement but the metal frames eventually broke, too. I'm buying the Easton one instead.
