The device also organizes more than 5,000 phrases by category, making it easy to figure out how to use the bathroom or order a beer in Mexico, France, or Italy. Although the TWE-510 is primarily a language translator, it can also correct phonetic spelling errors, i.e., words that sound like they should be spelled one way but are actually spelled quite differently. Just enter a word "as it sounds" and the spell checker will suggest real words based on phonetic equivalents. And serious travelers will dig the rolodex databank, which stores 100 names and phone numbers, with password protection for added security.
Additional features include a local/world clock, metric and currency converters, several quiz games (including Hangman), an automatic shutoff function, and a two-line display. I purchased this product because I was going to Italy and wanted an easy, ready reference tool. It's easy to use and worked out fine for the most part. On some instances, translations were not accurate.
