The fifth book in the Franklin Treasury series includes the complete texts and illustrations from four holiday picture books: Franklin's Halloween (1996), Franklin's Valentines (1998), Franklin's Christmas Gift (1998), and Franklin's Thanks giving (2001). Though the texts and illustrations are about the same size as in the individual volumes, the larger page size here allows for a more generous border of white space around the pictures. Great stories for preschoolers!,

My four-year-old loves the Franklin the Turtle stories, and so do I. The stories emphasize the importance of family and friendships and most have a moral lesson to impart. In this particular collection, there are four Franklin stories covering Halloween, Valentine's Day, Christmas and Thanksgiving. The full-color illustrations are gorgeous and many are full-page illustrations which enhances the reading experience, especially when one is reading the stories aloud to younger readers, such as toddlers and preschoolers. I highly recommend the Franklin stories to young readers, especially preschoolers.

Franklin celebrates Halloween and can't decide on a costume, makes his own valentine's for Valentine's Day, wants to find that perfect Christmas gift for his mother and celebrates Thanksgiving. I could not find this books individually, so this volume is so nice as they are altogether.
