Use Caution!,
By Mr Ranger (Michigan) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dr Frank's Joint & Muscle Pain Relief Oral Spray As Seen on Tv
First, the product did nothing for me. Of course that doesn't mean that it won't work for you. My complaint however, involves their very deceptive marketing practices. When you order on line they automatically send each month a new supply and charge your account as if you will be taking there product forever. In addition before checking out you are presented with the opportunity to get an extra bottle for what appears to be half price, when you get the bottle you find that is actually half the size. I would use extreme caution before giving these snake oil salesmen my credit info.

Preying on the tormented.,

I ordered from the website after seeing the product advertised on TV. I figured I'd give it a try.
I'm 24 and I have arthritis. I hit the genetic lottery, you could say. Some mornings I simply can't move very well. Bad feet, bad hips, bad back, neck, and shoulders. One night, I was in genuine pain, unable to sleep. In those moments of desperation, you do silly things. I ordered this product. No help whatsoever. Still popping Tylenol and Advil just to get by. Some people have no problem preying on those in pain.

Tricky marketing practices- product did not work for me,

Like the other reviewer, I was not pleased to get a 1/2 sized bottle for 1/2 price with my first order. I also didn't like having my credit card automatically charged and product automatically sent.
My major complaint is their heavily touted 30 day return policy. The fine print on their invoice says that the 30 day period runs from the date on their invoice, not when you receive the product. I received my shipment more than 2 weeks after my invoice date (to give them the benefit of the doubt, the delay could have been caused by the holiday mailing season and transit from East Coast to Hawaii). According to their enclosed information you should, "give this product a good chance to work (2 weeks at least and sometimes more) before you consider calling to cancel". Thus, they encourage you to delay canceling, and then they say you are not eligible for their 30 day money back guarantee because you are canceling too late. I called to cancel and request a refund within 30 days of my receipt of the product. A rude customer service representative kept interrupting me and repeating herself. When I asked for a supervisor she informed me that she was the supervisor. Not only did the product not work, but dealing with the company was distasteful. I'm complaining via my credit card company. They have reversed the charges.

do you believe in voo-doo?,

I'm a physician (Medical Doctor) who treats a lot of patients with migraines and pain. After seeing this ad on TV, I was so disgusted by the fact that someone who carries "M.D." after his name sells this snake oil called "Dr. Frank's Joint and muscle pain relief" and has another M.D.endorse it, I had to search how many people actually realized how this unethical swindler has conned them. Although Dr. Ken Frank (apparently an emergency medicine physician in CA) is using his M.D. title, I think his license should be revoked. It is suspicious that there are either 1-star or 5-star reviews out of 15 available, and none in-between. This is unusual to say the least. There are many effective chronic pain therapies. Chronic pain specialists can discuss your options with you and offer many effective treatments, which are best used with other proven alternative approaches such as acupuncture and biofeedback. Allow yourself to see more than one physician if you are not satisfied with what you are offered. You have to be comfortable and trust your doctor if order for chronic pain therapy to be successful. Indeed, I am not surprised that a fibromyalgia (FM) patient responded to it (see her review). In my experience, FM patients often respond to "alternative" treatments probably because of their placebo effects. The review by Timothy W. Kyle from MI proves that he's better treated with mind-over-matter techniques than with Vicodin. Now, "Dr. Frank" has reached his new low. He is pandering his snake oil to pet owners! It is one thing to sell it people who after one bottle will figure out they were deceived. But to prey on people's love of their pet companions? A WORD OF ADVICE: if you decided to buy this product because you are frustrated by your chronic pain and feel that you just have to try it, use a "virtual credit card" number. If you don't know what it is, it's a number majority of credit card companies (Citibank, BOA, etc.) let you create online which is linked to your real number. You can specify the exact dollar amount limit and expiration date. This way, you will avoid automatic monthly charge they impose on their customers, which is what everyone here is complaining about.

I did not even click to finish the order on the internet and they sent me an email it was ordred. Then I tried to cancel by phone and by email, six days later they charged my account and sent it to my mom, she has not received it yet as they just sent it, but they are no help whatsovever on the phone or email. I called my credit card company to dispute, my mom will have to spend her money sending it back, they better not send any future. I feel bad to make my mom go through the trouble to send it back, she also ordered some for her dog off of the tv, which she will send back also since they are so deceptive, I have not had to deal with such a deceptive company in all the years of shopping. Hopefully the owner will have lots of pain one day to make up for all the pain he has caused people with his deceptive practices. This is the longest and first negative complaint I have ever given. I plan to report them to the better business bureau. I like amazon.com a lot and hope they decide to not use this company anymore on their site. I only wish I would have been smart enough to check all these reviews on this site out before, I would never have gone to their site otherwise. The thing that makes me so angry is that I did not click submit to finish the order.

I didn't see any relief. I admit that I didn't use it as strict as the directions indicated but spraying four to six sprays each dose six times a day to start seems a bit much.

Beware of automatic shipments and unauthorized CC charges!,
By
This review is from: Dr Frank's Joint & Muscle Pain Relief Oral Spray As Seen on Tv
We Ordered this for our cat and paid extra for express shipping. It came in 10 days. They refused to refund the extra for shipping. In the meantime, we lost our cat and come to find out they billed our credit card for another shipment that we did not order. About 10 days later we got the second bottle. When we called customer service, they refused to refund our money and said it had been too long. We received it yesterday and did not order it in the first place. No idea if this product works, but please beware of giving them your credit card!!
Bad business practices.

Don't buy anything from Dr. Frank,
By
This review is from: Dr Frank's Joint & Muscle Pain Relief Oral Spray As Seen on Tv
First off, the product doesn't work as advertised. (I tried both joint & muscle sprays for myself and my dog). Absolutely NOTHING changed after using this product for 2 months. Then they keep sending more and more product with no way to contact this SHADY company. I'm embarassed that this type of company can still exist this day in age. I'm embarassed I bought into the hype in the first place. I'm trying to save you the same headache and embarassment. I actually had to cancel my credit card so they would stop sending me this worthless snake oil. This company is a pathetic money grubbing organization with nothing of value to sell. Be warned.

You would be wise to do a search on google ("dr franks joint pain") where a young intern has an interesting article and study on this product. If it's too good to be true, it must not be true. This is just "snake oil"
