Frank's Red Hot Cayenne Pepper Sauce - 1 gal.

I love hot sauce, specifically the Louisiana cayenne type. The smaller bottles I can go through in a week, without really trying. Most things I eat are not ready for enjoying until the sauce is ka-chunked on, two or three glops or more. So, needless to say, I really appreciate the larger refill containers of hot sauce. I had recently been using the Red Devil brand, since they had the larger re-fill bottles, an item that was no longer easily obtainable for me. At such times of need, I tend to look on amazon.com for replacements. When I found the Franks Red Hot (a brand I have used before) in a 1 gallon size, I thought I'd died and went to hot sauce heaven, or else Nawlins. This should easily last me three or four months!

Better than Tabasco for sure but nothing special. Fairly mild for those who don't like heat (I'd give it a 3 out of 10) and decent flavor just nothing great. This is a good basic hot sauce that you'll find in a lot of colleges or diners but definitely not the best. If you want a great hot sauce I recommend Tapatio, it has a better flavor with about the same level of heat.

The bottle of redhot broke on the way to me and I ended up with a bag full of redhot. Ended up getting a full refund but did not reorder because I am not sure how often it helps.

I love this sauce, I have been marinating boneless skinless chicken breasts in it. For that I was using alot of the larger bottles available at Wal-Mart and the cost added up quickly. This is alot less expensive. Plus when you have a gallon you can put it on everything, and i mean everything. Try this stuff on things you wouldn't think of and it makes it amazing. Red Hot vanilla ice cream, I'm just sayin.....

I like to buy all sorts of Hot sauces for all sorts of food. But no other hot sauce gets chosen more than Frank's. I use it for pizza, chicken, all mexican and even breakfast foods! I do not know of a hot sauce that tastes better, everything is blended very well. Not too hot, just a touch of vineger and a nice cayenne pepper taste.

Best of all, add Frank's and some butter on the stove, let it sizzle for 2 minutes and you have great tasting wing sauce!

The only bad thing I can report on this sauce is if you find a very old bottle still on the shelves. There could be a small chance of some clumping and flavor issues.
