I used to by my bertoli or similar extra virgin olive oil at my local stores - then from watching Mario Batali on the food network I got curious to how different the more expensive oils could be, Mario always said that "if they dont let you taste it before you buy it, go somewhere else" - that is not an option where I live, there are no stores like that around here, I would have to drive an hour and a half. So I just figured that the oil Mario uses is probably pretty good, I found it online a few years ago and have ordered it ever since, it truly is awesome, I cook with it, fry in it, make dressings and whatnot, it really is WAY better than the standard EV's you find in supermarkets...

I have tried many olive oils and this olive oil is absolutely the best olive oil I have ever tasted. More and more while watching food/cooking programs that are actually filmed in Italy, and especially Sicily, it is this olive oil I see on the table.

The other reviewers are correct when they state Mario Batali uses it, as I have seen him use this oil on many occasions.

The price is a little higher than some, but when used on fresh bread, or a little over Minestrone, or poured over fresh pasta dishes will make you a believer too.

This is one of my favorites of olive oil.
This extra virgin olive oil has a lovely golden green color and sediment in the bottle.It's got a good fruity ,rich flavor.It is also a little sweet.
I like to use it deliciously compliments salads.I like to drizzle it over tomato and cheese.
I am sure you will enjoy it and I highly recommend it.

If you love to cook, somethings are worth spending a little extra. This is one of those products.

I use it to dress my pasta, it is great just with some nice bread and kosher salt. Drizzle it on anything but don't you dare cook with it, it's too good for that.

Fantastic Taste - Great for cooking but better on bread or salads.
Not salty - and light texture.

This is, without a doubt the BEST Extra Virgin Olive Oil I have ever tasted! The flavor is full but not overbearing; when you taste it your eyes close with pleasure. Nice back-of-the-throat peppery finish - exactly what I want in an EVOO. I recommend this highly, and will continue to use this oil exclusively! I've searched for a long time to find an high quality oil and I've found it. My quest is over - I've arrived!

I absolutely love this oil. I sampled a variety of olive oils at a local Whole Foods and I was rather taken by how wonderful this oil tastes. It is absolutely delicious, fruity with a bit of a pepper finish. I literally could drink this stuff straight out of the bottle. Well, ok, maybe not quite but almost. It is definitely worth it to splurge on it, you'll love it.

I never thought that I would notice such a difference from one olive oil to the next but I am truly pleased with Frantoia. I first received it as a gift and what a great gift. Much better than a bottle of wine that the recipient gets to enjoy once! I have in turn gifted many a person with this wonderful oil.
