I rate this right up there with Giudetta and the Merry Widow for musicality. Lehar is a master at writing beautiful melodies that stay with you. Only disappointment is that the presentation is in english. I couldn't seem to find a recording of the whole opera in it's original language.

i would highly recommend hearing the recording by Franz Lehar. It is by far a very phenomenal piece of music! This Austrian Hungarian composer is very gifted and the recording by Elizabeth Schwarzkpof is very nice to listen too. It is truly a work of art!
