Music Teacher Nightmare, November 1, 2005

I purchased this violin from a local music shop on good faith that it was the right one for my 9 year old to begin with. I set up his first lesson about 3 weeks later. The entire one hour class was limited to the teacher trying to keep the violin in tune. She finally called in another person for help. This lady also tried to tune it but it would not stay in tune. After close inspection of the violin she found the bridge to be too high in comparison with others in the shop. Also, the tuning pegs were recessed. I called the shop to get a refund but was told they would "work something out for us" still haven't heard from them. In the meantime the teacher is allowing my son to use hers. Disappointed to say the least.
