This disc WAS the greatest disc of Suppe overtures in the catalog.Sadly, EMI pulled the item and it is no longer available. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. BUMMER!

This is an exceptional CD. I bought it primarily for the Light Cavalry Overture, excerpts of which are in every cartoon you've ever seen involving riders galloping on horseback. This is a great piece but the others on this disc are just as good. I can't imagine why it's no longer in print, but grab a copy if you can find it.
