Sandra Glahn, ThM, is adjunct professor at Dallas Theological Seminary, her alma mater. She is the coauthor of eight books, including the CBA bestseller and Christy Award finalist, Lethal Harvest. She is also editor-in-chief of the award-winning magazine Kindred Spirit. Glahn is currently pursuing a PhD in aesthetic studies at the University of Texas at Dallas.

You can get a little spirituality alongside your cup of coffee. "Frappe with Philippians" is an edition of the coffee cup Bible studies series from Sandra Glahn and AMG Publishers. Breaking down the book of Philippians into easy to digest, bite sized chunks for readers, Glahn gives readers to much indulge with. For the woman who is trying to work her faith into her life when there seems to be no time, "Frappe with Philippians" is a choice pick.

"Frappe With Philippians" by Sandra Glahn is an enlightening and thought-provoking five-week Bible study of Paul's epistle to the Philippians. I really like the spiral-bound format and the size of this study guide. I love that this study encourages scripture memorization. The experience is heightened by the author's website, which has links to artwork pertinent to the study, adding a new dimension to the Biblical reading especially for visual learners.

The study format isn't my favorite: seven days worth of homework broken down by specific day (Sunday through Saturday). I much prefer studies that are broken down by Day 1, Day 2, etc.

Bible passages included in the study guide certainly make it more convenient than lugging around a bunch of books when you're taking your study to a coffee shop, but that doesn't help you navigate through your Bible or give you the ability to write notes in your Bible's margins.

Overall, I would recommend this study for personal and group use.

We ordered this book for a small group study. We love its format and how everything is combined into one book to take with you. Great excuse to get together for coffee and fellowship to talk about the previous week! Easy to work with on your own pace.
