For those of us who fondly remember the 60's or who just plain like 60's music, this is an album to consider. Unfortunately, however, it's not as long as I would have liked it to be; there are too few songs here although what we do get is excellent music all the way. The quality of the sound is very good and I like the artwork, too.

"Twist and Shout" starts the CD off with a great tune that almost any fan of 60's music is bound to like--it still sounds so good today! "Mony Mony" has a fine beat with great percussion as they sing this to perfection; and I really like "Land of 1,000 Dances" with all that dynamic energy--it's electric!

"Little Bit o' Soul" was always one of my personal favorites from this era; and listen for the very classic "Louie, Louie." How's about that percussion?

"Surfin' Bird" has lots of energy, too; and there's "I Fought the Law" with that catchy beat and some awesome guitar. "Little Latin Lupe Lu" is very good and the CD closes with "Farmer John" and "Shout, Pt. 1."

The 1960's had quite a soundtrack to go with those years; but these are only a few of these tunes. I wish this album were longer; and that's a minus, unfortunately. Nevertheless, if you want a sampling of 60's tunes that made the airwaves sizzle back in the day or if you are just discovering this genre of music, this is an album to consider. Diehard fans of 60's music would do well to skip this album and continue looking for more comprehensive CDs and box sets of 60's music.
